Introduction

Ajuntament de Sant Cugat del Vallès, ESMUC, Conservatori del Liceu, Fundació Pau Casals and Fundació Victòria de los Ángeles, are presenting the X Edició of Internacional Conducting Course, maestro Antoni Ros Marbà, convinced that, as in the earlier editions, it will meet the expectations of orchestra conductors and students of conducting. The Course offers an opportunity for further study and training, including the possibility of conducting a professional orchestra under the supervision of an internationally renowned conductor as maestro Antoni Ros Marbà.
 
The International Conducting Course was established in order to provide further training for conductors. On this course they will be able to conduct two professional orchestras, Sant Cugat del Vallès Symphony Orchestra, and Granollers Chamber Orchestra, under de supervision of an internationally famous conductor.

History

The International Orchestral Conducting Course, Antoni Ros Marbà” X edition, 2016, begins with the “International Orchestral Conducting Course”, in Igualada, (Barcelona), between 1999 to 2009, and 2015 edition made with the support of Ajuntament de l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, (Barcelona). Always leading the project, maestro Antoni Ros Marbà with a collaboration of a professional orchestra, and with a participation of students from Europe, North and Latinoamérica.

 

 

Target

Once again we are presenting the International Conducting Course convinced that, as in the earlier editions, it will meet the expectations of orchestra conductors and students of conducting. The Course offers an opportunity for further study and training, including the possibility of conducting a professional orchestra under the supervision of an internationally renowned conductor as maestro Antoni Ros Marbà.

The International Conducting Course was established in order to provide further training for conductors. On this course they will able to conduct a professional orchestra under de supervision of an internationally famous conductor.

STUDENTS: Conductors and advanced students of Music can enroll as participants on the course.

LISTENERS: Anyone who would like to increase their knowledge of Music can enroll as listener on the course.

PROGRAMME OF THE COURSE:
Theoretical sessions: Explanation of the basic principles of conducting techniques and Analysis of the works of the repertory of the course.

Practical sessions: Students will practice as conductors with the course’s Orchestra, from the 25th July, and they will continue attend theoretical lessons as well.

The participants are expected to have a working knowledge of the course repertoire and to have their own scores. There will be classrooms for personal study.

TESTS: The tests will allow maestro Ros Marbà to know the student’s standard.

CERTIFICATE: participants will have Certificate of Attendance, from ESMUC
(Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya).

Registration

Registration form: Students have to send the registration form and all required papers before 30th June. Registered students will be welcomed at the “Escola Municipal de Música de Sant Cugat”, on the 18th July, at 10 a.m. On receipt of the registration forms the committee will inform all students whether they have been accepted and provided them information on accommodation, in case of they need it.

Listeners – 600€

Course dates:
Two weeks, from 18 to 30 July, 2016. (60 hours).

Registration deadline:
30th june, 2016. Extended until exhausted places
